I decided a while ago that pursuing a blog, becoming a serious influencer was my true passion and that is what is missing from my life and what I needed to start doing. So I created this new blog and set up a notebook and did a post and then created a new page/section. And that was it. Because I have this this terrible habit of doing a shit ton of planning and then never follow through on those plans as I obsessively and compulsively think about it. And that has been with everything all my life. It is no wonder I have never felt fulfilled. But luckily I found someone I was completely truthful with and who has helped me change my self and life in ways I never knew I needed to.

It has been a long hard journey but I am so much happier, clearer and more me than I ever have been or thought I could be. This behavior is just another thing I have recognized affected my life negatively and that I can change it. So this morning instead of sitting down to the computer and doing 100 things to prepare to write a post I just opened up Wix and started. I want this blog to be real and authentic and not forced. So as much as my brain is like you don't have a plan stop typing , my heart is saying just go for it.

I encourage you to stop the self doubt and plans to do something and just do it - for you - because you are the absolute most important person in your life!!!!!

My dad became a little neurotic after 9/11 and bought us all gas masks, when President Obama was elected he began buying more guns and ammo and even though he is a DUMP fan he recently started getting a little more serious about Doomsday Planning. While I do think his beliefs and actions are a little extreme I do agree with him to some point. I will have an underground shelter on our property once we settle in Vermont. And in general every day life I like to be semi prepared for things, even though sometimes it may be a little over the top lol.

I also have been trying to reduce my footprint by recycling, reusing, repurposing any and everything I can and cutting down on the amount and types of things I do buy. I will definitely talk about this often and with numerous subjects.

But in regards to RRR & Doomsday Prepping:

1. Plastic Utensils - If you are going home to eat please pass on taking these, if we create less demand we lessen the supply. If you do end up with any please do not toss them out. Grab a ziploc or a sealable bag or container and keep them. Yes one day they could be useful in an emergency situation but they can also be used for the kids lunch, road trips, camping. Now that doesn't mean you should start asking for and hoarding them.

2. Straws - same premise as Plastic Utensils and can be kept together. I listed separately because in my opinion these are much more harmful to the enviroment {google sea turtle with straw in nose}. But we can and do use them and are helpful for people who need to sip liquids for dental or other medical issues. They can be useful in a variety of ways in emergency situations. Examples include: starting a fire, drinking liquids, as a medicine dropper etc. But try to buy a keep with you reusable silicone or steel straws please!

3. Chopsticks - same premise as 1 & 2 and can be kept together. Chopsticks have numerous uses outside of eating with them. Examples include: crafts for kids, plant support, seed plot posts, peeling Ginger, getting small objects from tights spaces, kindling for an emergency fire, splints for broken fingers or toes (even pets tails) in an emergency, stirring paint etc

4. Matches - I quit smoking like 7 years ago. But when me and the man go away or randomly visit a place that has matchbooks I will grab one or two and I keep them in plastic watertight container or bag, always dry and ready for a power outage or fire starting anywhere.

5. Rubberbands - a million uses and in an emergency can be useful for more things you will ever be able to list of ahead if time. Start a rubber band ball with the kids if you have and make it a fun project, you will always know where they are ha. Or just keep them in a cup or small ziploc somewhere.

I have so many different types of small boxes and I am utilizing one of them to store my stuff for now - which is a small amount as I just started this project after getting two boxes of miscellaneous crap organized and tossed out. - Do you have anything to add to the above? Comment and lets share ideas.

I look forward to talking more about my ideas and yours.

I will be setting up sections or pages where all this info can be easily referenced Recyle,Repurpose,Reuse and Doomsday Prepping - or maybe I will save it and work on self publishing a printed or digital book for each - who knows what will happen with my new found sense of just getting shit done!!

I am mad at myself because I started THIS blog with all the right intentions and wanting it to be my priority so bad. But I have to stop...
